The RS Watanabe R17 (Eight Spoke Type-R) Wheel is the 50th anniversary celebration wheel from legendary Japanese company.

It's available in 17x8, 17x8.5, 17x9 and 17x9.5 size with offsets from 0 to aggressive -19.

It's aimed mostly for wide body vehicles or people who want a wide and aggressive look.

We only have pictures (shown on the website, wheels on black background) of 17x8.5 (smaller lip) and 17x9.5 (bigger lip). They all look very similar but the lip size change depending on the wheel size.

Just got a GR86 and would like to put some Watanabe Rims on it. Curious if you could give me a run down of the best 17" Watanabe rim to use stock or if I would like to lower which would allow full clearance without rubbing. I'd like to order as set that looks like its a deep dish if possible

The question is a bit too vague here, first of all, any rubbing would most likely be related to the tire size.
Then, if you want deep dish, you need to go wide and if you go wide, you will most likely rub due to the wide size of wheels, unless you run camber.
I'd suggest you do research on the size/offset you want or the look you want and then we can help you further.

We checked with RS Watanabe and, as far as they know, the 86 Demo Car was not using any spacers (17x9.5 -19 square setup).

However, they say that the car was modified a lot.
